The Pocket PCs and the PDA's are just only the tools but it is the software that drive these hand held devices that allow for providing better health care services. Starting from an individual medical practitioner and moving on to the communities of professional the use of these hand held devices allow them to work cooperating with each other and through the health care enterprise. The Electronic Medical Records - EMR, Clinical Drug References, Patient Management Systems - PMS, Patient Scheduling Systems, e-Prescription writers and such other enterprise functionalities can be made more widely available to the medical professionals by the use of Pocket PCs and PDA's. These combinations of the Health care enterprise functionalities and the medical professionals aided by these handheld devices would go a long way in providing the best practice of health care service for the patients that need the. The use of e-mail for interaction between the medical professional and the patients have started some time back reducing the need for doctors to make house visits. There have been complaints by the medical professionals that there is reluctance on the part of the patients to whom medical advice is provided over via the e-mail to make payments for their services. This has been corrected to a very large extent through compliance by health plans and medical groups all round the country to make the requisite payments for the service of medical professional via the e-mail.
